INVITATION TO SCHOOLS

Project 2019: “Schools double victory” – Fishing Olympics in Třebechovice pod Orebem

We are seeking schools for a fun fishing competition – Olympic games of school teams competing in fishing and creativity. The idea of the project is to take children outdoors, away from their computer screens, and to make their craziest ideas come true.

The first category of the “Fishing Olympics for schools” is about knowledge and real fishing skills (knowledge, fishing skills).

The second category – “Fishing fairytale” is about creative interpretation of fishing (drawing, painting).

We picked a special venue for this Olympics. The competition will take place in Třebechovice pod Orebem

Schools will compete in the following fishing disciplines:

  • theory
  • angling, fishing technique (throwing the hook – distance and target)

Those children who will not compete directly in the fishing disciplines may also take part in the “Olympics” by coming up with their own “Fishing story” and drawing it on a large sheet of paper (A0 format) and writing a short story.

Fishing technique and catching will be rated according to meeting predefined conditions (how many fish caught, target hit scores, length of throw, etc.).

The winning story will receive points given by professional jury. The participating schools do not pay anything. The first three schools will receive cups and material awards. Each school will receive a professional video from the games with a presentation of their school, their city and its surroundings.

The winning school in the “Fishing story” discipline will receive a special award – “Paper coming to life” – computer graphic and music professionals will use their story sheet as a basis for a short animated movie.

This is how children perceive our project with their own eyes.
